From Jack and Jill at clayton through to the Trig point at Black Cap and back

After the failure of the walk on the 22nd I set out on a similarly warm day to get to the trig point at Black Cap and to return.

I reasoned that I had more chance of making it by cutting out the 2 mile drop and subsequent ascent.

armed with a bottle of energy drink (0.5 litres) I set off and quickly passed by Ditchling Beacon and carried on to the trig point withoutany problems.

After a brief rest to take pictures I returned and noted that I was only feeling the effects of the walk just before reaching the car, which feels like I have laid the ghost of the 22nd to rest.

Total distance covered 9.35 miles

Here are the pictures from the walk.
