Yep did it again, this time with an ickle detour that added a bit to the ride.
I repeated this run dating back from the 25/03/2012 to see how the fitness was doing, and all I can say is that there is an improvment 🙂
The first leg down to Partridge Green was a game of ‘dodge the bunny’ – the blighters are everywhere!
Nothing else to note on the way down until I got to Wyckham Farm where the descent to Bramber begins – the trail is dry and dusty which makes you a bit twitchy as falling off wearing shorts might be an ouch !
Once past the farm the track improved and I was soon past the castle, across the A283, and on my way to the airport 🙂
At the airport instead of just turning round I rode through the airport, onto the A259 and then through Shoreham back to the track just south of the flyover.
The haul up by the castle at Bramber & Wyckham farm seemed easier and I was soon back on level ground heading for Henfield.
Once clear of Henfield I headed back for West Grinstead, keeping up a decent pace but by now feeling the effects of the ride in the sun 24+ degrees celcius is lovely and warmif you are not pedalling for hours.
Back at West Grinstead life got a bit painful, I removed the bike hat and the sweat got in my eyes – it don’t half sting 🙁
Overall a good ride and a big improvement on the first ride 🙂
I will apologise in advance for the 3 images it takes to get the route in.
