Took the new bike up the Balcombe Road, then Hanlye Lane (bow did I miss the gears of the old bike, the legs now hate me)
Rode into Cuckfield and returned to town on the shorter run, I did not have the legs to tackle the bypass
Road across town, then down Oathall, this was against the flow of cyclists doing the London to Brighton run, even sparking some kid to yell “he’s going the wrong way)
Finally tackled Gander Hill, couldn’t do Lindfield as the police had closed the road for the cyclists to ride
