Went out on the hybrid to reach the distance of 1 1/2 times last year’s mileage cycled

The wind and rain had subsided so I went for it

I rode up to the A272, across town and up past the hospital

I then turned for Walstead before carrying on to Plummerden Lane

Then I turned right and hauled my fat bod up to Ardingly

I whizzed down College Road before picking up Copyhold Lane

I went over to Borde Hill and turned onto the Balcombe Road

I returned home via Mill Green Road

Mission accomplished 3326 miles covered 🙂

Went out for a morning ride intending to ride to Ardingly, however it’s naffing freezing out there and icy so I revised my plans

I rode up to the A272 and across past the hospital

I then turned and headed for for Walstead and stopped at the school, there was ice on the roads and the thought of a downhill descent on that was a no go.

So turned about and headed for Lindfield

Went past the pond and common and headed back to town

Returned home via Sydney Road.

Went out for a morning ride on the hybrid

Rode up to the A272 and up past the hospital

Turned for Walstead then headed for Plummerden Lane dodging the puddles on the way

Turned into Plummerden Lane and negotiated the usual puddles

Went up the hill to Ardingly and whizzed down College Lane, noticing how the river has risen

Cut across to Borde Hill and picked up the Balcombe Road

Carried on to Lindfield via Hickmans Lane

Went round the loop by the Church then past the pond and the common

Returned home via Gander Hill

Went out for a boxing Day morning lazy ride on the hybrid

Rode up to the a272, across town and up past the hospital

Turned and headed for Walstead then turned for Plummerden Lane

Stopped at the Bridge to take some pictures

Then rodepast the golf course and on up the hill past a sign I have never seen before

Carried on the usual puddle that crosses the road

After passing that I carried on pausing to take a picture of the great view

Now I rode up to Ardingly and headed down College Road, not at my usual high speed as I was stopping to take pictures of the college

And then of the river at the bridge

In Copyhold Lane I took a picture of the rolling Sussex hills

Then I headed for Borde Hill and Hanlye Lane

Now I rode UP Hanlye Lane, yep something I have not done for a while, and on to Cuckfield

I rode through the village and returned home via the A272 and the Broadway

Went our for a Christmas Eve ride as the weather had improved (it was dry and not too windy)

Rode up to the A272 and across to Cuckfield

Went up to the Ardingly Road and then whizzed down Hanlye Lane

Shot down the Balcombe Road and continued to Lindfield via Hickmans Lane

Went round the church loop then rode past the pond and common

Rode over Gander Hill before returning via Mill Green Road

I have to say there is plenty of evidence of trees having been cut down and some deep puddles about after last night’s storm.

This was taken on a drive out an hour or so earlier

Went out for a ride dodging the showers

Rode up to the A272 and across town to go past the hospital

Turned towards Walstead, then went into Plummerden Lane just past the gold club

Rode up the lane then along Stonecross Lane through the puddles – anyone for wet feet ?

Carried on to Ardingly struggling up the hill – jeez who stole my fitness ?

Rode down College Road, surprisingly not at my usual whizzy speed 🙁

Went across Copyhold Lane to Borde Hill

Picked up the Balcombe Road and went down the hill

Returned home via Mill Green Road
