24/10/2017 A short ride to Walton and back

Tuesday, October 24th, 2017

Went out for an evening ride, down to Walton and back,

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station then down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I then went through Gower Road to Queens Road and down to cross the railway line

I turned into Oatlands Avenue and rode past the school to Oatlands Chase

I then headed for Walton Railway Station and on to Sydney Road

I then rode over to pick up the A3050 and headed round to Walton Bridge

I now picked up Oatlands Drive and rode to the cricket pitch

I rode Queens Road to Princes Road then turned into Pine Grove

I then rode to Hanger Hill and returned home

Friday, October 6th, 2017

Went for an early evening ride to finish today’s exercises

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I rode through Gower Road to Queens Road then headed for Hersham and the A244

I carried on to pick up Sidney Road and turned onto the A3050

I headed round to Walton Bridge. picked up Oatlands Drive and rode to the cricket pitch

I turned into Hanger Hill then into Princes Road before riding along Pine Grove

I then turned into Hanger Hill and returned home

16/09/2017 Virginia Water, Sunningdale. Chobham, Knaphill, Byfleet and home

Saturday, September 16th, 2017

Went out for a morning ride, time to clock a few miles 🙂

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station then down Heath Road to pick up the Chertsey Road

I rode over Woburn Hill and into Chertsey riding through to Thorpe

I carried on going through Virginia Water to reach the A30 where I turned for Sunningdale

In the town I turned and rode into Chobham and then headed for West End

I rode through Bisley to Knaphill where I turned to ride through Horsell to reach Sheerwater

I then headed for firstly West Byfleet then Byfleet before going to the Brooklands Road

I ascended to the station then rode down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went through Gower Road to Queens Road and on to the cricket pitch

Finally I rode up Hanger Hill to home

21/08/2017 a lunchtime ride to Hersham and then Walton before returning home

Monday, August 21st, 2017

Went out for a lunchtime ride, need to get those legs moving 🙂

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I rode through Gower Road to Queens Road then headed for Hersham and the A244

I picked up the A244 and rode through Walton to Walton Bridge and picked up Walton Lane

I returned to town and rode through Thames street to Monument Hill

I ascended to the cricket pitch and then returned home up Hanger Hill

18/08/2017 Shakedown ride post chain, cassette and spoke replacement

Friday, August 18th, 2017

Went out for a shakedown ride after having the chain, cassette and a spoke replacing

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I rode through to Queens Road via Gower Road and headed for the cricket pitch

I went down Monument Hill to the High Street and round to Heath Road

I ascended to the station and returned home down Hanger Hill

15/08/2017 Out to Walton, across to Chertsey via Shepperton and home

Tuesday, August 15th, 2017

Went out for an early evening ride in the sunshine

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I rode through Gower Road to Queens Road then down to Oatlands Avenue

I went down to Oatlands Chase and on to the town centre past the station

I carried on to pick up Sidney Road and turned onto the A3050

I rode to Walton Bridge and picked up Walton Lane

I rode through the town to Walton Bridge, through Old Shepperton, and carried on to Chertsey Bridge

I crossed the river and headed past the town to the Thorpe Road

I then turned into Chilsea Green Road and carried on through Eastworth Road

I now headed for Addlestone and Woburn Hill which was duly ridden over

I arrived at the roundabout and headed for Heath Road

I then ascended to the station and returned down up Hanger Hill

12/04/2017 A rarity – a lunchtime ride !

Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

No one was walking today, so decided to go for a ride to New Haw and back

I rode down Locke King Road to pick up the path past the sewage works

I passed the works and crossed the river then took the path round the ponds

Eventually I reached the A318 and rode to New Haw Lock

Then I took the towpath back past Cox’s lock to Addlestone and the Bourne estate

I rode by the river to Heath Road and ascended to the station

I then turned into the railway carpark and carried on down to Locke King Road

Finally I rode back up to the office

A ride out to Hampton Court and back

Saturday, April 8th, 2017

Went out for a leisurely ride as the weather was great

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went through Gower Road to Queens Road and headed past Walton to Hersham

Now I turned into Molesey Road and went through East Molesey to Hampton Court

Now I turned to ride to Walton on the A3050 passing the bridge to reach Oatlands

I rodde up Oatlands to pick up Hanger Hill and returned home .

17/04/2016 To Windsor, Bray Wick, Bracknell, Ascot and back with ChrisC

Sunday, April 17th, 2016

Went out for a morning ride with ChrisC showing him the road to Windsor, Bracknell and back

I rode down Hanger hill to pick up Oatlands and on to Walton Bridge and the car park to wait for Chris

We then rode up the A244 to the A308 at Sunbury and then rode to the Laleham Turn

We cut across Knowle Green to reach Staines and picked back up the A308 to ride through Runnymede

After Runnymede we rode through Old Windsor and Windsor all the way to Bray Wick on the edge of Maidenhead

Here we picked up the A330 and rode to Jealotts hill where we rode into Bracknell and turned for Ascot

We rode through Ascot to cross the A30 and reach Virginia Water and on to Chertsey

We rode through Chertsey and headed for town picking up Heath Road

We ascended (with a stop for this old heap to recover) to the station then rode home down Hanger Hill

We treated Chris to a coffee and some lunch, I hope he enjoyed it more than me :-(, before he left for his home
