Notes on the bit of the Ride London route I know

From Kingston Bridge to Hampton Court bridge it should be off road, riding by the river,

You then cross the main road, and the bridge before turning right to ride to Walton – this is fairly flat but good luck with the wind, it’s always been against me when I have ridden that way

At Walton you come to a staggered set of traffic lights with Jeep garage on the left, you go straight over and face a hill,

It firstly dips down then goes up, good news what you see as the top is the top, after that it’s flat or mostly downhill

At the other end you turn right to ride through Weybridge, it starts downhill – we all know what that means !

Once through town look for a pub called the British Volunteer, there is a rise here to the railway station roundabout – firstly the first ascent is the steepest climb, it’s easier after that, and secondly as the road is closed DON’T ride in the gutter – it’s BUMPY

Now you ride downhill through 1 roundabout to the one with the A245 where you turn right and head for Byfleet, this stretch is fairly flat although past Byfleet there are a few ascents on the way to West Byfleet.

Good Luck
