Went for a wander by Ardingly reservoir, both to see the bluebells and the water level.

The bluebells are now coming out but I think they need a few more days before they can be seen at their best – check out the pictures here

The water level has risen from last time I was there 🙂 although it has some way to go yet before normal levels are restored 🙁

Most of the pathway was dry although there was some mud around so you needed to watch where you trod (and that’s apart from the Horse droppings)

Yes, had a mad moment and decided to expand on the now customary loop from HH to Cuckfield.

I went to the A272 via the Saturday morning route, then rode to Cuckfield.

However, instead of returning via the usual route I rode out through the village down the bypass and came back that way – that’s a fun way of tiring the legs !

From here I rode through town and dropped down Oathall Road, but rather than returning in sydney road I rode through to Lindfield, past the pond and church to the far side before returning.

A longer ride than normal, and maybe one to be expanded on when I do my usual weekend rides.

Went for a walk to Chertsey Bridge and back.

This was a shortened walk due to the heavy black clouds gathering,

Despite the weather I managed to take take a few pictures of the bridge before returning to work.

Wandered through town to the abbey grounds in town, I made sure I didn’t blink and miss the remains.

There are a few remains of the odd wall standing, but there isn’t a great deal to see.

However there is a decent garden .

I returned to the office via the riverbank.
