Yep, did it again,
Rode over Chertsey Bridge, on to Shepperton and into the old village
rode into Laleham and back along the riverside
Rode across town to the Staines Road
Returned to work.
Pushed myself this morning, this was my longest road ride to date – 31.1 miles
Rode out to Walstead via Lindfield
Rode on to Ardingly and Borde Hill
Rode on to Cuckfield and returned to town
Rode to Ditchling via Wivelsfield
After reaching the base of the Beacon rode Underhill Lane to Clayton
Rode to burgess Hill via Hassocks
Rode round the bypass and then went along Isaacs Lane to home.
Rode through town and on to Ditchling via Wivelsfield
Rode out of Ditchling and headed for the Beacon
As I started the beacon the legs decided that they were not going to play ball and wanted no part in another ascent – the spoilsports !
So I turned round and went along Underhill Lane instead to Clayton.
From clayton I rode through Hassocks and back to Burgess Hill
I came round the bypass and joined Isaacs Lane to Haywards Heath
I rode across town and down to the beginning of Lindfield
I returned home via Gander Hill
Yes a little lazy ride to the South Downs and back – or then again hell on wheels might be appropriate!
Set off across town then road through Wivelsfield and Ditchling to the Beacon Road
Then set off to ride the Beacon, jeez is that STEEP.
I Have to confess that I couldn’t make it without a rest and a short spell of pushing the bike – but I DID reach the summit – YIPPEE 🙂
Then rode across to the windmills at Clayton and descended Clayton Hill.
Rode back through Hassocks and round the Bypass to Isaacs Lane
Returned straight home to give the legs a rest 🙂
Yes, I’ve actually taken the mountain bike offroad for a change !
Parked at the mills at Clayton and road past Ditchling Beacon to just beyond the Beacon at Mount Harry and back.
It was a lovely ride in the sun, although the loose surface of the first and last mile was a slight concern.
The views were great, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
