As the bike option is out of action for the time being took a lunchtime stroll along the river
Then crossed town to Wier Road
Walked back to work on Eastworth Road
A nice autumnal stroll (the legs agree but the feet are not best pleased !)
Rode down to Wivelsfield after crossing town and headed for the Folders Lane roundabout where I turned left and then picked up Spatham Lane
Carried on to Westmeston and turned into Underhill Lane
Rode through to Clayton and rode back to Burgess Hill via Hassocks
Rode round the bypass and headed for town on Isaacs Lane
Rode across town again and headed into Lindfield
returned home via Hickmans Lane and Gander Hill
Went for a slightly longer than normal ride as no Pete this morning.
I was aiming to ride Westmeston and pick up the UnderHill Lane, however Mother Nature intervened and it hissed down 🙁
So turned round and headed for Burgess Hill
Rode across the town then picked up the bypass
Returned to the Heath on Isaacs Lane
Rode across to Lindfield and then came home via Hickmans Lane.
Yep, repeated this ride, with a twist !
Went the usual way to Chertsey Bridge and on along the Thames past Laleham campsite.
when I got to Staines I returned on the main road, but road past the campsite turn carrying on the outskirts of Shepperton
Rode over the M3 and back to Chertsey
Crossed town to the Staines Road and then returned via Eastworth Road.
This will be my last worktime ride for a while, I have had to bring the bike home 🙁
Took a ride out on the Worth Way this afternoon to see what it was like.
We found that it was muddy, not a problem for me, but Iren prefers paved runs to muddy ones, of course snapping off your new rear mudguard doesn’t help 🙁
We rode from the Church at Worth to Crawley down and back.
We found this run quieter (with the exception of crossing the M23) that the other runs we have covered.
This will be revisited at some point in the future
Rowfant Station
Rode to Ditchling via Wivelsfield,
Attempted the Beacon but the legs didn’t want to play the game after yesterday’s 30+ miles so ended up pushing the bike most of the way.
When I reached the top I rode across to the mills at Clayton
Then rode to Hassocks
Returned via Burgess Hill picking up a puncture on the way, it felt like a slow puncture but after refilling the tyre I noticed it went down fast so had to push the bike for the last couple of miles back to the bike shop – the cause some useless lump had left their wing mirror on the cycle path.
I use these rides to loose pounds, but the plan was to loose pounds of the waist not the wallet 🙁
