Went out to test the old body climbing up past the Long Man at Wilmington – a steep ascent.
Iren accompanied me halfway up the climb then waited whilst I went for the steeper bits.
We walked alongside the road from the car park to the path leading towards the chalk figure.
we then walked up to the foot of the man then headed right.
Halfway along the path Iren decided to stop and wait for me, I carried on to the turning left.
Then I went up the steep bit, oh how I love heavy breathing and shin splints NOT.
Once the climb eased off I carried on over the top to see the great views looking across to Seaford.
I took a couple of pictures then turned back but took the track to the left of the way I came up
When the tracks joined back I descended back to Iren.
Finally we came down to the road and returned to the car park.
