Rode out to Cuckfield via the A272
Then made my way to Hanlye Lane via London Lane
Rode down Hanlye Lane and the Balcombe Road
Rode to Lindfield going to the turnround point via Hickmans Lane
Returned via Gander Hill
Rode up the Balcombe road and Hanlye Lane to reach Cuckfield,
Then rode to Balcombe,
Returned to town via the village and the Balcombe Road – that road is an image of the Pleasure/Pain principle, one minute you are hammering downhill at 32 mph, then next its grab bottom gear and hit 2.5 mph as you crawl uphill :-O
We finished off riding to Lindfield and returnin via Sydney Road
Yes, did a biggie this morning, rode through Lindfield to Ardingly, then over to Borde Hill,
From here I rode through town to pick up the A272 to Cuckfield
Rode to Hanlye Lane via London Lane, and whizzed back to Town
Rode across to Lindfield again via Hickman’s Lane
Turned round at the end of the village
Returned home via Sydney Road
One observation on today’s run, is it take your motorbility scooter for a drive day ? in Lindfield there appeared to be several out and about including one guy I saw twice trundling down the road on his red speedster oblivious of the confusion with drivers behind him !
Did the same ride as this morning, but without Pete and without the extra Lindfield loop – wanted to assess fitness (now if you see it can you please let me know, cos I’m buggered if I can find it ๐
The hills weren’t too bad to begin with, but 2nd time around does expose the fatigue creeping in!
However in 8.7 miles I took 8 minutes off the time to reach the turning by the Post Office and raised the average speed from 9.78 to 11 mph ๐
All in all a good day’s riding ๐
Yet another 10 mile plus ride to consume the odd ounce (or more I hope) ridden with my neighbour Pete.
We headed up for Lindfield viaย Denham Lane and then went for the hills to Ardingly.
Those hills were still tough, but they appeared to be easier, perhaps all my hard work is paying off ๐ (wishful thinking no doubt)
Once in Ardingly turned to come back via the college and then headed up the first tough hill which seemed to be cleared much quicker – this time I could power up it standing rather than seated ๐
We then headed over to Borde Hill and returned to the Heath,
From here we went back to Lindfield, and returned home via Gander Hill
A good ride, with good company and it felt like I am stronger than before ๐
Iren and I parked at Shoreham Lagoon
We rode along the beach side into Worthing as a way to ease Iren back into riding
We didn’t reach the Pier but we will on a future ride,
It was a pleasant ride, nice and level with a decent hard surface – ideal for Iren
The only issues we had were with a 40ft no ride section (??) and kids with no idea of traffic (either 2 or 4 wheeled)
First ride with my neightbour Pete and went for a toughie
Started off on the keep fit run going up Balcombe Road and Hanlye Lane
Then we went through Cuckfield and carried on to Burgess Hill via Ansty,
We turned sharp left at the first roundabout in Burgess Hill andย headed back on Isaacs Lane to town.
We crossed town and went down Oathall and into Lindfield,
Here we turned left into Denhams Lane and returned home via Gander Hill
