Went out this morning for a rain dodging ride – keeping close to home ready for when the rain returns
Rode up to the A272 and across to Cuckfield
Rode up to the Ardingly Road then down Hanlye Lane 🙂
Carried on down the Balcombe Road and on to Lindfield via Hickmans Lane
Rode round the Church Loop and the Walstead Triangle
Went past the pond and common before riding over Gander Hill
Returned home via Mill Green Road
Went out for a walk with Iren to show support as she wants to exercise.
We walked up to the A272 and crossed to Victoria Park
We then walked down to the bottom and completed a square loop which had ascents and descents at the back near the cafe
This loop was carried out 3 times in total before we walked back home
As a rough guide it’s 1/2 mile there and back to the park, and each loop is 1/2 mile so 2 miles in the bin 🙂
Not bad considering I had already ridden 10.5 miles this morning 🙂

Rode up to the a272 and then down to Burgess Hill on Isaacs Lane
Went round the roundabout and headed for Ansty
Rode through the village then branched off on the bridleway (not one of my best ideas)
The bridleway was muddy and in places I was wheelspinning – novel on a bicycle !
Eventually reached Deaks Lane and rode to the Staplefield Road
Rode into Cuckfield and headed onto the Ardingly Road
Whizzed down Hanlye Lane and took the Balcombe Road right through to Lindfield via Hickmans Lane
Went up an over the 2 hills then turned into Stonecross Lane then Plummerden Lane
Carried on through Walstead back to Lindfield
Passed the Pond and Common before riding over Gander Hill
Returned home via Mill Green Road
