Yep, I’ve just done a biggie (well it is by my meagre standards this year)
Rode down to Otelands and on to Walton
Went across to Shepperton and on through Laleham
Went into Staines and then round to Chertsey
Came into Addlestone, and rode round to New Haw
Returned home up the Brooklands Road
Went out for a challenging walk with Jon today,
Jon wanted a walk to test his fitness so we went for the 7 Sisters
We parked at Birling Gap in the wind and sunshine.
Out of the car we headed North West towards Exceat Bridge
Jon hasn’t been here before – his legs were in for a shock
This walk involves steep descents and ascents, the lungs and legs were in for a shock.
We headed initially for the ladder stile but found it has gone – Jon got a let off.
We went past the Stone seat and on the bench at the top of the next ‘sister’
Now we turned back and headed for the car
But before reaching the car there was the slight matter of the odd ascent including the one just after where the ladder stile used to be.
Thanks to the cliff falls the route I have used in the past was gone 🙁
Ho hum straight up the north face of the Eiger !!! I am now qualified to make naughty phone calls thanks to my heavy breathing.
It was a good walk and we felt it, followed off with lunch at the Giant’s Rest 🙂
Went out for a ride on the hybrid this aternoon
Rode up to the station and then down to the Queens Head where I turned left
I crossed the river and again turned left to pick up an unmade road
This ended by the railway where I had to carry the bike over 2 Stiles and the railway
Now I rode past the Wey Island Trust and on to New Haw
From here I rode round to Oyster Lane and the A245
I carried on to the turning for Seven Hills Road and turned left
Hmmmmm I wonder why the road is called that ……………………. ick!!
Yep I plodded up the bloody hills to the A317
Now I went through to St Georges Avenue and returned home.
Went out for a wander with Barry, Chaoying and Morgan
We walked down Locke King Road and on to the path past the sewage works
We went down to the river and turned left towards the museum
We carried on under the road and into the housing estate
Then we went through the Heights to the P&G gate
Finally we returned to the office on the Brooklands Road
Lunchtime we went out en mass for a wander, only Mark was missing from the gang of 8!
Claire, Chaoying, Natasha, Barry, Morgan, Paul and Myself headed for the P&G gate
Once through the gate we passed through the car parks to the museum entrance and the bridge over the Wey
We then turned right and headed right round past the 4×4 track to the Concorde model
Now we turned left and walked along the road to the river where we went onto the bank
We walked back to the museum entrance and then to the P&G gate
Finally we walked back on the Brooklands Road to the office.
Went out for a midday ride on the racing bike
Rode out to Walton and headed for Shepperton
Carried on to Laleham then headed for Chertsey Bridge riding alongside the Thames
Rode across Chertsey and then a brief bit of the A320 before heading back across the town
Now I headed for Addlestone, and carried on to New Haw and Byfleet
Picked up the A245 and then the Brooklands Road
Turned round at the railway station and returned home on St Georges Avenue.
Went out for an afternoon ride on the Hybrid
Rode down to Queens Road and on to Monument Hill
Went down into town then turned towards Chertsey
Rode up and over Woburn Hill to the Chertsey roundabout
Then rode through Addlestone and New Haw to Byfleet
Briefly rode on the A245 before riding up Brooklands Road to the Station
Looped round the roundabout and picked up St George’s Avenue
Returned home
Went out for a longer wander with Chaoying this lunchtime
We walked down Locke King Road and past the flats to the river.
After crossing we walked up to MB World
We went past the 4×4 track to the Concorde roundabout
We then went through the playground area and up to the old track
Now we walked round to the housing estate
From here we went through the Heights to the P&G gate
Finally we returned to the office.
