Went out for an evening ride on the hybrid – big mistake !
Rode down to Queens Road and on to Oatlands Road
Went down Oatlands Road to Walton and crossed the bridge
Headed up the A244 through to Sunbury and the A308
At this point I noticed it was getting dark so decided to turn back – then I saw the clouds that were originally behind me
Talk about black, it looked GRIM
1 mile on the rain arrived, ho hum no waterproofs with me – wet time!
I rode back with the rain lashing down, standing water appearing and lightning going across the sky – OOPS
Ascended Oatlands struggling to see ahead – wet glasses ho hum
Rode back home on Queens Road and St Georges Avenue dripping as I went.
