12/04/2017 A swift ride down to Walton Bridge and back via the Bourne Estate

Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

Went out for an early evening ride down to Walton Bridge and back

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station then down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I rode through Gower Road to Queens Road and on to the cricket pitch

I then went down Oatlands Drive to Walton Bridge

I then picked up Walton Lane and rode to Portmore Park Road

I cycled round to Wey Road and then on to the Chertsey Road

I rode to the Bourne Estate, diverting to Toolstation

And then by the river, crossing the old bridge to Heath Road

I then ascended to the station and returned home down Hanger Hill

12/04/2017 A rarity – a lunchtime ride !

Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

No one was walking today, so decided to go for a ride to New Haw and back

I rode down Locke King Road to pick up the path past the sewage works

I passed the works and crossed the river then took the path round the ponds

Eventually I reached the A318 and rode to New Haw Lock

Then I took the towpath back past Cox’s lock to Addlestone and the Bourne estate

I rode by the river to Heath Road and ascended to the station

I then turned into the railway carpark and carried on down to Locke King Road

Finally I rode back up to the office

11/04/2017 Evening ride through Shepperton to Chertsey and back home

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

Went out for an evening ride in the late afternoon

I rode up Hanger hill to the station then down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went across to Gower Road and on to Queens Road

Now I rode to the cricket pitch and down Oatlands to Walton Bridge

I then rode through Shepperton and carried on to Chertsey Bridge

I crossed the river and headed round past Sainsburys to Eastworth Road

I now headed for Addlestone and Woburn Hill which was duly ridden over

Now I headed for Heath Road and ascended to the station before riding home down Hanger Hill

11/04/2017 A longer lunchtime walk, including around part of the old track

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017
Went out for a lunchtime walk with Chaoying and Paul,
We walked down Brooklands road to the P&G gate and on through the HeightsWe then went through to the housing estate and crossed the river

Now we walked round the path by the old track to the nursery end and picked up the path behind the track

We walked back to the river crossing and headed for the trail to the museum

We went past the museum and headed for the other bridge and the path up past the sewage works

After that path we went to Locke King Road and returned to the office.

Monday, April 10th, 2017

Went out for an evening ride to Walton and back

I rode up Hanger hill to the station then down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went across to Gower Road and on to Queens Road

Now I rode to Oatlands Avenue and down to Walton Station via Walton Chase

I now picked up the A244 and rode to Walton Bridge

I then went to Walton Lane and rode back to Portmore Park Road and then to the Heath Road, via Wey Road

I ascended to the station and returned home down Hanger Hill

Monday, April 10th, 2017

09/04/2017 A duet with Iren – in 3 parts

Sunday, April 9th, 2017

Went out for a ride and walk with Iren

why 3 parts – the ride down to the pub, the walk to Walton Bridge and back, and finally the ride home

So firstly we rode down Hanger hill to the cricket pitch and then down Monument Hill

We turned into Monument Road and cycled to Grotto Road then Thames Street

Now we carried on to the Old Crown and parked the bikes up – so endeth Part 1

For Part 2 we walked along the tow path to the cafe at Walton Bridge for a coffee and a sprite

After the drinks we returned to the Old Crown to complete Part 2

Part 3 was a ride along Thames street to Monument Hill

Here we pushed the bikes up to the cricket pitch and turned into Hanger Hill

We rode home up the hill to complete Part 3

09/04/2017 A Heinz ride to Kingston and back

Sunday, April 9th, 2017

Went out for a morning ride to Kingston and back, it turned out to a bit mixed.

As the forecast was for a stinking hot day I banked on a load of traffic crawling to Chessington

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and then down Brooklands Road to the A245

I then rode to Silvermere and along the lane to the M25 J10 roundabout

I looped round to continue down the A3 to the Ockham lane turn

I rode through to Martyrs Green and turned to towards Cobham

At Cobham I headed for Stoke D’Abernon I went round to pick up the A243

The traffic now was crawling where I could overtake them 🙂

After passing Chessington the traffic lightened out and headed through Hook to Surbiton

Now I rode to Kingston via  Mini Holland and headed for the bridge which I duly crossed

I now rode the towpath to Hampton Court Bridge and on to Weybridge

I rode on to Portmore Park Road and then to the Chertsey Road via Wey Road

I turned into the Bourne Estate and rode by the river to Heath Road

Now I ascended to the station and rode home down Hanger Hill

A ride out to Hampton Court and back

Saturday, April 8th, 2017

Went out for a leisurely ride as the weather was great

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went through Gower Road to Queens Road and headed past Walton to Hersham

Now I turned into Molesey Road and went through East Molesey to Hampton Court

Now I turned to ride to Walton on the A3050 passing the bridge to reach Oatlands

I rodde up Oatlands to pick up Hanger Hill and returned home .

Friday, April 7th, 2017

Went for a late afternoon ride to Walton Bridge and back

I rode up Hanger Hill to the station and down St Georges Avenue to Egerton Road

I went through Gower road to Queens Road and on to the cricket pitch

I went down Oatlands to Walton Bridge and picked up the towpath

I rode back (with an ickle bit of Thames Street) to the old bridge

I then rode to Heath Road and ascended to the station

Finally I returned home down Hanger Hill
